 The Core Values session was the best 2.5 hours EVER. Ruth created and held a safe and supportive container for me to unpack my ten values in a sensitive and loving way. The whole process was illuminating as I hadn't ever given any thought to why I had some of my values.

Values Workshop Client

 I was in a very bad place, right after making some life-changing decisions and under pressure to make more big decisions about my future and I felt really lost. Welcome.  How are you?  Or more importantly, who are you?  Who are you really, beneath the layers that you've added and edited over the decades? Who are you when you're alone, in the shelter of your solitude and under nobody's gaze?   Which parts of yourself have you denied?  Which dreams and wishes have you relegated to the shadows because you're 'too'?  Too old, too inexperienced, too sensitive, too weak, too scared, too busy, too stuck in your ways.

But WHAT IF?  What if you could start that business, leave that relationship, heal that connection, push for that promotion, set that boundary, love yourself more, take that trip.  If not now then when?

You are amazing and you are unique.  You have a life story, a wonderful glorious story that holds chapters and scenes and characters and plot twists and themes.  Nobody else has ever walked your path. You have so many  chapters still to go, and it's up to you how the story ends.


I want to know your story.  As your coach, I will listen to you  with deeply focussed attention, and I will ask you questions that nobody has ever asked you before.  Some of them will be challenging, some of them may be uncomfortable, but by really being curious about why you behave in the way you do, you'll gain a self awareness and clarity that will empower you to connect to what's important to you. I draw on many different approaches in my coaching, including humanism, positive psychology, narrative Coaching, Jungian psychology, the transpersonal, spirituality. By combining a variety of approaches bespoke to your own unique way of being, we will gain insight into the subtle and subconscious drivers of your actions, behaviour, and motivations. No two people are the same, and so my approach is different with each and every client.

Together we will explore the challenges you currently have, build on what's going well in your life, and focus on options and solutions, building new habits and finding new ways to be. 

The deepest change happens when we are supported.  As your coach I will uncover and reflect back your blindspots, the things you can't or won't see and I will gently keep you on track.

A 24 session one to one programme of deep self-exploration.

You will work with me, twice a month for a year, in order to facilitate deep change and healing.

A profoundly immersive and powerful exploration of who you are right now, drawing on the work of Carl Jung, Caroline Myss, Sharon Blackie and Clarissa Pinkola Estes, amongst others.

Based on transpersonal psychology, we will explore why you have chosen to come to this life, at this time, the lessons that you need to learn, and your connection to a higher self.

We will cover
  • Your story, the characters, situations and experiences that have brought you to where you are now.
  • Your 12 archetypes and how to work with them as your guides.
  • Your Shadow and how to integrate it.
  • Your dreams, their unique language and symbols,  and how to work with them to gain greater understanding and clarity
  • What your purpose is in this life, what you came here to learn and to share with the world.
  • How your judgements of others, both good and bad, reflect hidden parts of yourself.  A tough lesson to accept, but life-changing.

Sleeping keeps us inert, lifeless, passing through life with our eyes shut. Coaching for young adults at school, college and university Coaching for parents of young adults 

Coaching for teenagers and young adults

As well as holding a Diploma in Transformational Coaching, I am also an accredited Youth and Education Coach. As a mum I know that with all the will in the world, we as parents are not always best placed to guide our own children through the minefield of being a teenager. This is where coaching, with its non-judgemental, neutral approach can really help young adults to move through their challenges and learn tools that will empower them for the rest of their lives. Whether your child is navigating friendship issues, struggling with academic pressures, or feeling that they don't belong, coaching can have a huge positive impact. It can also provide interim support for your child while they are on a waiting list for specialist help.

As well as holding a Diploma in Transformational Coaching, I am also an accredited Youth and Education Coach, working both privately and running workshops in schools for a charity. For some young people, university is a time of joy, new friendships and a growing sense of self -confidence and independence. For others, it can be fraught with challenges - from learning to live independently for the first time, to navigating new cities, to being immersed in a world of new people and experiences, to academic struggles. I am both a Transformative Coach and a Youth and Education Coach. I'm also a mum of two young adults, and Lead Facilitator for The Juno Project, a charity that runs workshops in schools for 13-16 year old young women. The teenage years can be challenging for not only the teenagers themselves, but also for us as parents, struggling to support them in a world that we ourselves didn't have to navigate when we were their age (social media, different life choices, lockdowns and online learning etc). Imagine yourself in six month's time, having successfully worked on the challenges you're facing today, what would be different?

If you want to see changes, live a more fulfilled life and realign with who you truly are in this life, then self-awareness is key. Without knowing ourselves deeply, we're not living, we're existing. After graduating from Durham University with a BA (Hons) Combined Arts, I went on to work in teaching, training, marketing and media research. I hold a ICF accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas (2018) and am also an accredited Youth and Education Coach (Animas, 2021).

As well as coaching privately, I am also Lead Facilitator for West Sussex charity The Juno Project, running workshops for teenage girls around self-esteem and empowerment.

I have life experience in being stuck, wondering who I am, divorce, being the sandwich generation, parenting teenagers, and all the other stuff that comes with being unarmed in the no man's land that is midlife. When I'm not dodging life's bullets, I love creative writing as it allows me to live life vicariously through my characters. I also love fitness and walking with my dog.  I'm not sure if I'm an introvert extrovert or an extrovert introvert, but I can feel overwhelmed by places that are too peopley and I can be the life and soul of the party, but only until 9pm. Solitude is my sanctuary, where I recharge my batteries and reconnect with my inner peace. With myself, not by myself.

My life's good - it's not perfect but it's real. I certainly haven't got it all figured out, but when life throws me a challenge, I can handle it with the tools I've learned through coaching and personal growth. I would love to share my coaching approach with you, and get you to the other side of whatever challenge you're facing.

My approach to coaching is holistic, meaning that I see you as a whole person, whose way of being is shaped by the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual spheres.

I draw on many different approaches in my coaching, including humanism, positive psychology, narrative Coaching, Jungian psychology, the transpersonal, spirituality. By combining a variety of approaches bespoke to your own unique way of being, we will gain insight into the subtle and subconscious drivers of your actions, behaviour, and motivations. No two people are the same, and so my approach is different with each and every client.
