After graduating from Durham University with a BA (Hons) Combined Arts, I went on to work in teaching, training, marketing and media research. I hold a ICF accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas (2018) and am also an accredited Youth and Education Coach (Animas, 2021), and accredited Relationships Coach  (April 2025, Animas)

As well as coaching privately, I am also Lead Facilitator for West Sussex charity The Juno Project, running workshops for teenage girls around self-esteem and empowerment.

I have life experience in being stuck, wondering who I am, divorce, being the sandwich generation, parenting teenagers, and all the other stuff that comes with being unarmed in the no man's land that is midlife. When I'm not dodging life's bullets, I love creative writing as it allows me to live life vicariously through my characters. I also love fitness and walking with my dog.  I'm not sure if I'm an introvert extrovert or an extrovert introvert, but I can feel overwhelmed by places that are too peopley and I can be the life and soul of the party, but only until 9pm. Solitude is my sanctuary, where I recharge my batteries and reconnect with my inner peace. With myself, not by myself.

My life's good - it's not perfect but it's real. I certainly haven't got it all figured out, but when life throws me a challenge, I can handle it with the tools I've learned through coaching and personal growth. I would love to share my coaching approach with you, and get you to the other side of whatever challenge you're facing.

My approach to coaching is holistic, meaning that I see you as a whole person, whose way of being is shaped by the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual spheres.

I draw on many different approaches in my coaching, including humanism, positive psychology, narrative Coaching, Jungian psychology, the transpersonal, spirituality. By combining a variety of approaches bespoke to your own unique way of being, we will gain insight into the subtle and subconscious drivers of your actions, behaviour, and motivations. No two people are the same, and so my approach is different with each and every client.

I am a passionate lifelong learner and as such I engage in continued development, both professional and personal.  I only work with tools, techniques and concepts that I’ve personally found to be truly transformative. Every approach I use has been part of my own personal journey, and as such, you can be assured that I coach with passion, wisdom and integrity.

The Animas School of Coaching 12 Principles of Transformative Coaching

I work within the framework of the 12 Principles of Transformative Coaching developed by the Animas School of Coaching. This ensures that I work with integrity and professionalism, and am able to hold and direct our sessions with clarity and intention, as well as honouring depth.

1. Unknowing - I am not the expert on you, you are.  I will approach our relationship in the spirit of collaboration and humility.
2. Humanistic - I hold your innate capacity for growth as foundational.  The relationship between you and me provides an alive space for practising new patterns of  relating to others.
3. Phenomenological - I work with you in the moment, in real time, recognising that we each have our own unique lived experience and worldview.
4. Relational - I see the relationship between you and I as the medium for change.  Together we make meaning from your experience.
5. Dialogic - Insights will arise through dialogue, conversation and connection, rather than being 'delivered' by me as the coach.
6. Emergent - The coaching path is rarely linear, but invites a trust in what is unfolding in your psyche.
7. Collaborative - Coaching with me is a shared journey — not one of teacher and student, but of equals exploring growth together.
8. Paradigmatic - We will work together to unpack your worldview, or system of assumptions about how the world works, and invite shifts of these internal maps to enable new ways of looking at things.
9. Holistic -  I recognise that we are all a blend of our bodies, our emotions, our relational patterns, our connection to a higher self, and as such our sessions will support various approaches including somatic cues, symbolic language, dreams and relational energy. Rather than separating “personal” from “professional” or “inner life” from “outer goals,” I recognise that  all aspects of a person are interconnected.
10.  Systemic - I work on the assumption that people cannot be fully understood in isolation, because we are all part of interconnected systems — families, relationships, organisations, cultures, and environments.  Your inner world will be a part of the broader structures and histories in which you have been conditioned.
11. Integrative -I bring together a range of approaches and principles, offering what feels most relevant and helpful for you in each session.
12. Pragmatic - Insight is only useful when coupled with action.  My intention is that you leave with agency as well as increased awareness, grounding the coaching in action, change and transformation.
